What they really mean is that you can use these soaps instead of the ones you love and you can save money. While it is true they will save you money, it is not true that they are worth a retail value of thousands of dollars. Sometimes they use slick sayings such as $5000 worth of “cleaning power”. While they are not actually saying the retail value of the soaps is $5000, they are implying that to unsuspecting potential customers who are hearing this for the first time. In fact we find that most people prefer their normal name brands and have trouble using all of the new off brand things, though they are so caught up in the sales pitch it justifies making a marginal business decision. If some one you have never met before comes into your home under the disguise of a free no obligation water test or a free coupon or some other door opener; and then they convince you to spend thousands of dollars on a water treatment system on the spot without comparing prices or equipment elsewhere; would you call that a smart business decision? Probably not. If it was a good deal tonight, it will be a good deal tomorrow. Many companies will tell you that you don’t get these off brand products unless you buy tonight. This is designed to create a strong sense of urgency so you won’t shop around. They know if you don’t buy it tonight, you likely never will; and for good reason. And let’s face it, if you use softener water where you had hard water before you can use far less of ANY brand of soap products. If your water is really hard and you add ANY water softener, you can use less laundry detergent. For example, if you like Tide laundry detergent, and before you were using 1 cup for a load. Now you can use 1/8^th of a cup. That is big savings and you get to keep your favorite brands, along with those favorite smells. Is it really worth thousands and thousands of overpaid dollars just to get $200 worth of off brand no name soap products? Probably not. Most people use these products for a short time and then go back to their favorite “Name brands”. The good news is you can use a fraction of the “Name Brand” products saving you hundreds of dollars each year. Enjoy the same savings while using the name brand products.
